PERFORM ART
Perform
Art is a project which counts on the European
Community support as well as the Youth Community
programme loan.
Our target consists in the creation of an international
community of young artists from 18 to 25 years
of age, with a continuous development of ideas
and forms, in which each participant can be protagonist
of a really unique and unrepeatable experience,
as well as unique and always different is the
synergy caused by each group, which in his turn
is a fruit and a seed for those groups which will
arrive in future.
But now is time to introduce ourselves! We re
a group of cultural mediators and young organizers
(into our body or soul!), and we periodically
decide a topic which we intend to study in detail
and we call artists on all sides of the world,
depending on what they can offer to the community
in terms of creativity, experience or emotional
impulse.
The mainstays of our organization are based on
a particular way to intend the development of
projects. What we re going to share is neither
a scholarship nor a formally understood course,
but un occasion to stake your practical experience
and your theoretical baggage, to modify and increase
them, thanks to the contribution of each group
member, besides exploiting them thanks to the
possibility of reviews from the media. There are
no teachers, but only guides who will coordinate
group activities and will provide the tools for
community development. So, the consequence is
that results depend on work and everybody s capability
to share.
Perform Art has got a rich programme of public
activities (work camps, sightseeing, conferences
of experts, sport activities, parties, stages),
even if we voluntarily prefer to let wide margins
of freedom, so that all participants can cooperate
for programmes organization.
The selected artists will be invited to spend
a period of 20 days at our community, which is
situated near Castelvolturno (CE), half an hour
far from Naples, in a wonderful oasis of lakes
and nature.
The supporter of this project is the new Hyppo
Kampos resort (www.hkresort.it/home..html), which
offers to young artists board and lodging, as
well as his centre of artistic production.
The chosen topic is:
The Performance as a social interaction and an
overthrow of barriers .
The idea is the one of a form of art with a very
high social content, to allow a communication
among all group members which goes over the linguistic
barriers and to spread this kind of idea into
the local territory.
The project begins in the month of April 2006,
but selections have already begun.
The ones who can participate to the selections
are:
Artists with experiences about performance;
Djs, group of dancers or musicians as long as
they have a performance proposal in which to insert
their own kind of work;
Painters, sculptors, videoartists, landartists,
as long as they have a performance proposal in
which to insert their own kind of work;
Studious with knowledge about performance;
Sociologists with knowledge about performance;
Organizers of expositions.
To participate to the selections, send your résumé,
your photo (full figure and close up), book (if
you have got it), recordings ( in case of musicians
and djs) video and everything which can prove
that you have got the characteristics required
and confirm your artistic profile, by 5TH November
